US Dry Seal Single
background

The US dry seal are specially designed dry-running retrofit seals, engineered for the efficient conversion of aging gland-packed agitators. With a stationary spring configuration, these seals are capable of withstanding misaligned or out-of-square pad flanges, offering enhanced durability and reliable sealing performance even in imperfect installations.

Due to the absence of a closely fitting sleeve, the US seals can be easily installed on worn shafts, streamlining the retrofit process. These seals are also fully compatible with glass-lined reactors, providing a flexible and effective sealing solution for various industrial applications.

Key Features
  1. For quick conversion from gland packing
  2. For worn-out shafts
  3. Can tolerate 3.8mm shaft runout / eccentricity & out of square pad flange
  4. Low headroom required
  5. Can be easily adopted to fit on any existing pad flange
  6. Steam sterilization option available

Products FAQ`s

Mechanical seals prevent leakage of liquids or gases between a rotating shaft and a stationary housing in equipment such as pumps, compressors, and mixers. They help maintain process efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and protect equipment from contamination or fluid loss.

US-TB and US-TBR seals are designed for handling highly corrosive and chemically aggressive fluids. They are commonly used in chemical processing plants, fertilizer industries, acid handling systems, and pumps operating with reactive or corrosive media.

The US-TB seal features a replaceable rotary seal face, allowing easier maintenance and replacement. The US-TBR version uses an integral rotary face design, providing a compact structure suitable for certain corrosive applications.

These seals are manufactured using chemically resistant materials such as PTFE and GFT composite bellows, Silicon Carbide, Ceramic, Carbon, and corrosion-resistant metals like SS316 and Hastelloy C.

US-TB / TBR mechanical seals are designed for shaft sizes from 19 mm to 100 mm, temperatures from −45°C to 120°C, and speeds up to 2900 rpm, depending on application requirements.

Yes. The seals are specifically designed for extremely corrosive environments. The use of PTFE based bellows and chemically inert materials makes them suitable for acids, salts, oxidizing agents, and reactive organic compounds.

Yes. Unique Seal Engineering Co. provides customization based on shaft size, operating pressure, temperature, and process fluid to ensure proper sealing performance for different industrial applications.
